What Is ADAS Dynamic Recalibration?

Dynamic recalibration is when the vehicle can be driven to recalibrate the ADAS system using an application on a mobile device to adjust the depth sensors inside the car’s cameras.

ADAS, or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, are no longer a thing of the future, they have arrived in the present. Motion sensors, depth sensors, infrared light detection… all are making our vehicles smarter and safer to drive.

The ADAS cameras in the windshield measure a lot, such as:

  • Video Image Processing
  • Infrared Vision
  • Ultrasonic Detectors
  • Microwave Radars
  • Passive Acoustic Detectors
  • Photoelectric Sensors

The sensors are extremely accurate and, in order to work at peak performance, must be perfectly recalibrated.
